“Where is Bear?”

This one is from the amazing Storytime Katie. Break out the bear puppet for maximum fun.

“Where is Bear?”
Where is bear? Where is bear?
Here I am. Here I am.
How are you this winter?
Very tired, thank you.
Go to sleep. Go to sleep.
(Have kids shout “WAKE UP BEAR” to do the song again.)

“Bumblebee, Bumblebee”

If you know me, you know I sing this little rhyme all the time! It’s one of my favorites because it’s short, has a good rhythm, and helps tots learn body parts. If you have a little bumblebee hand puppet, this is a perfect time to use it.

“Bumblebee, Bumblebee”
Bumblebee, bumblebee, landing on my nose.
Bumblebee, bumblebee, now he’s on my toes.
On my arms, on my legs, on my elbows.
Bumblebee, bumblebee he lands and then he goes.

“We’re Going on a Butterfly Hunt”

This is a fun activity. You can sing the song as a call and response if you want. For the activity, I made a paper bag “jar,” which I use all the time by the way, and five origami butterflies which you can learn to make here.

“We’re Going on a Butterfly Hunt”
We’re going on a butterfly hunt,
We’re gonna catch some pretty ones,
What a sunny day
Are you ready? OK!
Ooohh, look, a yellow one! A really pretty yellow one!
Repeat with all colors.

“Bubble Gum, Bubble Gum”

Maybe you remember this old hand-clapping game from elementary school? I thought it might be fun to make a cardboard bubblegum machine and use large plastic balls to count as we sing! Okay, okay, I’ll tag it, flannels…so…extra.

“Bubble Gum, Bubble Gum”
Bubble gum, bubble gum, in a dish
How many pieces do you wish?
